Chamber to Host Mayor's State of the City Address

Livermore's Mayor Marshall Kamena will give his annual State of the City address at the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce's first summer luncheon next week.

Every summer, the presents its popular Wine Country Summer Luncheon Series. It offers interesting speakers, fantastic food and an opportunity to network with business leaders.

At the first luncheon June 23, Mayor Marshall Kamena will give his annual State of the City address. He's expected to address several of the city's hot topics, including the economy and the .

Ted Kaye, CEO of Las Positas College Foundation, said, "The mayor's comments are always interesting and provide a barometer of how the city is impacted by the general economy and specific growth projects in the city. He generally also provides perspective on significant positions taken by the City Council. Examples of these issues are the proposed and the routing of BART through Livermore."

The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the , 4444 East Ave. It is being catered by .

Luncheon tickets are available on the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce website; $40 for chamber members or $50 for nonmembers.
