Vegetation Fire on E Vallecitos Road

Three fire departments worked together to contain a fire on 20 acres.

Alameda County Fire, CalFire and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire departments are responding to a vegetation fire in Sunol.

According to Alameda County Fire Department's Twitter feed, the fire is contained at 20 acres, not 15 as originally posted. "No reports of injuries. Cause is under investigation."

received a tip from Livermore Patch Facebook readers at about 5:45 p.m. that there was a fire spotted near Ruby Hills.

Alameda County Fire Department sent a PulsePoint notification at 5:32 confirming a vegetation fire at 2980 E Vallecitos Rd. in Livermore. Alameda Fire also confirmed this with Livermore Patch but said additional information would be coming from CalFire, who covers this area because it is a "state response" area.

More than six vehicles were dispatched to contain the fire.
