Vegetation Fire Burns 1.5 Acres Behind Spring Valley Commons

No injuries reported and no structures were damaged, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department said.

Multiple residents reported a fire in the Spring Valley/Springtown area Monday and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department responded to the scene.

The fire was first reported at about 5:01 p.m. Sept. 9 to the rear of 1422 Spring Valley Commons. LPRD dispatched six engine companies and two chief officers to the first alarm vegetation fire. Alameda County Fire Department was also on scene to assist.

According to Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Paul Legasa, the fire burned approximately 1.5 acres and threatened two townhouse structures at the Spring Valley Commons.

The fire departments remained on the scene until 7:03 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
