Shortly after midnight, an officer spotted a Honda Pilot reported stolen out of Sacramento County in Springtown. The girl was inside the vehicle with two other people, Goard said.

The officer attempted to stop the stolen SUV on a vehicle code violation, but the driver instead fled and failed to stop for police.

The driver ended up crashing into a grass field off of Clydesdale and Bluebell drives after turning into a dead-end road, Goard said.

The three occupants of the vehicle then exited the vehicle and ran into the field.

More officers were called to the scene to assist in the search. In addition, Alameda County Sheriff's Office deputies also helped in the search.

The girl was located in a nearby backyard and was taken in custody on suspicion of resisting arrest. The other two people were not found and remain outstanding, Goard said.

first of all that other boy is my brother, and second of all. heather there is a reason their names are not posted, they are minors. and it should be none of your concern what their names are. so people get a life and stop all the negativety. yes both boys have issues and they need, its just the other boy got caught first. its a matter of time before my brother ends up getting caught and going to jail.

It is very much my concern bc my son will not face charges until your brother is in custody. Both boys will be charged as adults, therefore their names will be given sooner or later. If my son and your brother don't want their names public, they should have never done the crime...
