UPDATE: Freeway On Ramp Reopens After Crews Clear Overturned Dump Truck

Report of non-injury accident temporarily blocked First Street on ramp to eastbound Interstate 580.

The First Street on ramp to eastbound Interstate 580 has reopened after emergency crews cleared an overturned dump truck, said CHP Officer Steve Creel.

In addition to clearing the overturned big rig, crews removed about 15,000 pounds of wood debris and garbage in the roadway as a result of the accident, according to CHP reports.

Emergency crews responded at 3:38 p.m. to a report of a big rig on its roof and blocking the freeway on ramp. A sig-alert was then issued.

Officials lifted the sig-alert once the on ramp reopend at 5:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported from the accident.
