A 17-year-old boy was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Alameda County Juvenile Hall in San Leandro.
Rebiejo said the suspected drug deal likely would have gone unnoticed if it weren't for the resident calling police.
"Community members can help be the eyes and ears for us," she said. "If you have a funny feeling about something, you should call us. We’ll get out there and we’ll see what’s going on."
