Police Log: Plenty O'Drunks, Plus Lambaren Party/Brawl Update

Notable incidents encountered March 11 to 18.

The 19-year-old Livermore man arrested for allegedly attacking an officer at a on Lambaren Avenue appeared in court last week for the beginning stages of the battery case.

Adrian Manzano had a pretrial hearing March 15 at the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton for felony counts of battery of a police officer and resisting arrest that resulted in bodily injury, according to court records.

He was arrested Feb. 18 as police attempted to break up a teen party on the 900 block of Lambaren. An officer was choked and had his leg broken in the melee.

Manzano had two dates in court last week, as he was already on the dockets for a January suspected driving-under-the-influence incident. He was arrested New Year's Day for alleged impaired driving at 4:20 a.m. along 1800 First Street. 

Currently housed at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin with a $250,000 bail, Manzano is next scheduled in court April 4 for further pretrial proceedings, and April 19 for a preliminary hearing of the case, records state.

The alleged host of the Lambaren party, meanwhile, will appear in court this week for charges of obstructing police and suspected burglary.

Dallas Miller, 19, of Livermore, was arrested at the party on a misdemeanor count of police obstruction. Court records show a March 19 arraignment was scheduled for that offense.

Miller posted bail after the house-party arrest, and was on the 800 block of Comanche Court for suspected felony burglary and possession of stolen property.

Incarcerated since the Feb. 20 arrest with a $120,000 bail, Miller is scheduled for a plea and arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. Friday in Dept. 704 at the Pleasanton courthouse, records state. 

In other news, a wee bit too much tippling apparently landed some individuals behind bars over St. Patrick's weekend.

Six drunk-and-disorderly arrests were made from one spot alone in the early morning hours Sunday, along with several DUI arrests, according to the .

Sunday, March 18

  • Six individuals were arrested for suspected public intoxication at 1:12 a.m. on the 2000 block of First Street. The suspects were two women, 28 and 21, and four men, ages, 42, 30, 27 and 24.
  • DUI arrests included: a male, 25, at 1:33 a.m. at Michell Street and Portola Avenue; a male, 43, at 3 a.m. on North Livermore Avenue at I-580; a male, 22, at 3:59 a.m. along North Livermore; and another motorist at 7:14 a.m. along 3800 Silver Oaks Way.
  • Domestic battery reported at 2:41 p.m. on the 5800 block of East Avenue, and at 7:30 p.m. along 400 Bernal Avenue.

Saturday, March 17

  • Public-intoxication arrest made of a male at 1:51 a.m. along 700 North L Street.
  • A male motorist was arrested for suspected DUI at 1:34 a.m. on North Livermore and Portola avenues.
  • Possession of a switchblade reported at 12:52 p.m.on the 600 block of Yorkshire Court.
  • Motorist driving on a  suspended license with prior DUI was reported at 11:50 p.m. along First and Mines streets.
  • A male, 28, was arrested for alleged loitering on private property at 1:15 p.m. on the 1000 block of Aberdeen Avenue.
  • Stolen vehicles reported at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. from the 1600 block of Paseo Laguna Seco, and at 2:15 p.m. from South I and Fourth streets.
  • Domestic battery cited at 9:49 a.m. along 5400 Arlene Way.
  • Theft on the 700 block of Barleta Lane logged at 4:33 p.m.

Friday, March 16

  • Commercial burglaries reported at 6 p.m. along 5800 Northfront Road and at 10:19 p.m. on 1000 Murrieta Boulevard.
  • Two separate arrests for suspected drug-paraphernalia possession: 9:10 a.m. along 1400 First Street; and 6:20 p.m. on 400 Commerce Way.
  • Theft of vehicle parts logged at 1:30 p.m. along 700 North L Street.
  • DUI arrest made at 1:32 a.m. on Fourth and Inman streets.
  • Vandalism logged at 5:58 a.m. on 4600 Gerrilyn Way.

Thursday, March 15

  • Stolen vehicle reported at 9:51 p.m. along 100 East Vineyard Avenue.
  • Misdemeanor warrant arrest made at 1:30 a.m. along 800 North K Street.
  • A male, 38, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. on I-580 and Grant Line Road for suspected marijuana cultivation and driving without a license.

Wednesday, March 14

  • A 26-year-old Tracy male was arrested at 12:18 p.m. at I-580 and Grant Line Road for suspected possession, transportation, intended sale of narcotics, parole violations, no license and a DUI.
  • Vehicles were reported stolen at 12:30 p.m. along 5600 Charlotte Way, and on 900 Bluebell Drive at 3:30 p.m.
  • Elder abuse/neglect reported at 11 a.m. on the 1400 block of Fox Creek Court.
  • Drunk-and-disorderly arrest made at 9:54 p.m. on 100 South L Street.
  • Battery cited at 6 p.m. on First and Maple streets.
  • Theft logged from along 2900 Reed Avenue at 6:16 p.m.

Tuesday, March 13

  • A Livermore man, 47, was arrested for suspected domestic violence  at 11:35 p.m. on the 700 block of El Rancho Drive.
  • Car break-in logged at 6:45 p.m. along 500 South Vasco Road.
  • Theft cited at 12:01 a.m. along 100 Rickenbacker Circle.
  • Stolen vehicle recovered at 1 p.m. on 1200 Spring Valley Common.
  • Drug-paraphernalia possession reported at 9:23 p.m. on First and Scott streets.

Monday, March 12

  • Identity theft recorded at 11:45 a.m. along 5400 Betty Circle.
  • Theft filed from 400 Wall Street at 1:50 p.m.
  • Grand theft of motor parts reported at 2:54 p.m. on 2700 Las Positas Road.
  • Car break-in reported at 7 p.m. along 1400 Honeysuckle Road.
  • Suspected possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia arrest made of a Livermore male, 42, at 7:15 p.m. on the 400 block of James Street. The suspect was arrested last year for selling and possessing drugs.
  •  A 26-year-old Livermore man, arrested December 2011 for weapons possession, was rearrested at 1:56 p.m. at First and L streets for suspected possession of drug needles, syringes and paraphernalia. 
  • Robbery at 10 p.m. along 600 Andrew Street.

 Sunday, March 11

  • DUI arrest made of a San Jose female, 22, at 11:53 a.m. at Vallecitos Road and East Ruby Hill Drive.
  • Commercial burglary cited on 300 Wright Brothers Avenue at 7 p.m.
  • A Manteca man, 23, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. along 1000 Murrieta Boulevard for suspected possession of controlled substances.
  • A violation of a protective court order and domestic battery was reported at 2:45 p.m. on the 300 block of Scott Street.
  • Theft cited at 10:48 a.m. along 4900 Tesla Road.
  • Felony warrant arrest made at 9:18 p.m. along 800 North Vasco Road.
