Police Log: Vandals and Sticky Fingers

Notable incidents encountered last week by police.

The Livermore Police Department fielded numerous calls of property damage, burglary and theft last week.

Monday, Dec. 5

  • A 37-year-old man was arrested at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Southfront Road and Preston Avenue on suspicion of driving under the influence. 
  • A felony vandalism report was taken on the 3300 block of Pestana Way at 3 p.m.
  • Commercial burglary was reported at 3:30 p.m. on the 700 block of Hayes Avenue.
  • A 23-year-old female was arrested on the 1700 block of Railroad Avenue at 10:50 p.m. for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

  • Theft report was made on the 1000 block of Lisbon Avenue at 2:30 p.m.
  • Vandalism reported at 3:29 p.m. at the corner of Second and South K streets.
  • Vandalism reported on the 2000 block of College Avenue at 5 p.m.
  • Assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 400 block of James Street at 6:51 p.m.
  • Commercial burglary was reported from a business on the 6900 block of Northfront Road at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 6200 block of Tesla Road at 8:51 a.m. 
  • Residential burglary reported at 10 a.m. on the 1400 block of Winding Stream Drive.
  • Two cases of identity and credit theft were reported: noon on the 5600 block of Charlotte Way; and at 1 p.m. from the 500 block of Hazel Street.
  • Burglary reported at a commercial building on the 900 block of East Stanley Boulevard at 2:07 p.m.
  • A driver was charged with marijuana possession at 3 p.m. on the 1400 block of Lexington Way.
  • Four separate vandalism incidents were reported between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. — one on the 500 block of North Livermore Avenue, two from the 700 block of Estates Street, and another on the 3900 block of Princeton Way.

Thursday, Dec. 8

  • Residential burglary was reported on the 1700 block of Linden Street at 11 a.m.
  • An individual was arrested on suspicion of illegal narcotics possession at the intersection of Holmes Street and Holmes Court at 6 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 9

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 700 block of Alden Lane at 4:40 a.m.
  • Residential burglary called in at 9 a.m. on the 1000 block of Murrieta Boulevard.
  • Shoplifting reported at 5:26 p.m. from the 2700 block of Las Positas Road.
  • Felony vandalism was reported on the 500 block of Loyola Way at 7 p.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 9:36 p.m. on the 4200 block of First Street.
  • A DUI arrest was made at 9:51 p.m. at the corner of Murrieta and East Stanley boulevards.

Saturday, Dec. 10

  • Vandalism report was made at 12:32 a.m. on the 1600 block of Railroad Avenue.
  • Commercial burglary was reported at 2:42 a.m. from a business on the 1500 block of First Street. 
  • Assault and battery was reported at 11 p.m. on the 9300 block of Tesla Road.

Sunday, Dec. 11

  • A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 12:23 a.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and College Avenue.
  • Two disorderly-conduct arrests were made on the 2200 block of First Street between 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m.
