Police Log: Winemaker's Son in Car Wreck, Plus Break-Ins and Drug Arrests

Notable incidents encountered May 19 to 26.

Several break-ins of homes, businesses and cars were reported last week by the , along with numerous drug-related arrests — for using, possession, or sometimes both.

In other news,  owner's son Dino Nardolillo, 30, crashed his car in Mountain House early Saturday after closing the in Livermore, according to his father.

Dino survived with bruises, scrapes and a possible broken nose, said Nick Nardolillo, owner of Livermore's White Crane and Wild Vine, who learned of the accident when Dino's wife called Saturday at 2:45 a.m.

No alcohol, drugs or other vehicles were involved in the one-person wreck, which occurred mere blocks from Dino's home in Mountain House, Nardolillo said. And Dino was wearing his seat belt, he added.

Nardolillo said his son started work early that day, worked late, and fell asleep behind the wheel. "He should have eaten on the way home.

Since Dino's car was totalled, and he and his wife are expecting their first child July 16, Nardolillo's band buddies are throwing a benefit concert June 10 at White Crane "to help him get some cheap wheels so he can be able to get to work."

  • Motorist with marijuana cited at 8 p.m. on 4100 East Avenue.
  • Vehicle reported stolen at 6:20 a.m. along 1900 Pine Street.
  • Arrest for suspected public intoxication made of a Livermore male, 21, at 1:59 a.m. on 700 South I street.
  • Violation of court order reported at 4 p.m. along 1000 Bannock Street.
  • Contempt-of-court incident logged at 11:18 a.m. on 2700 Collier Canyon Road.
  • Drug-paraphernalia possession arrest made of a man at 7:17 p.m. on 3900 East Avenue.
  • Possible homicide victim, an unidentified female, about noon on Dublin Canyon Road and Laurel Creek Drive.

Wednesday, May 23

  • Stolen vehicle recovered from another jurisdiction at 11:09 p.m. along 3900 East Avenue.
  • Vandalism logged at 11 p.m. along 200 Helen Way.
  • Grand theft from vehicle recorded at 11:45 p.m. on 6100 St. Andrews Way.
  • Car break-in reported at 5:10 p.m. on 900 Clubhouse Drive.
  • Domestic assault reported at 10:30 a.m. along 1600 Heather Lane.
  • Man arrested for suspected public intoxication at 9:41 p.m. on 100 South L Street.

  • Identity-theft case filed at noon on 200 North K Street.

  • Domestic assault reported 10 p.m. on 5900 Cypress Point Drive.
  • A Livermore man, 25, was arrested for suspected DUI and assault at 6:18 p.m. on the 4600 block of Gerrilyn Way.
  • Residential burglary cited at 6:30 a.m. along 300 Mitchell Street.
  • Contempt-of-court violation logged at 7:36 p.m. along 6100 Altamar Court.
  • Police obstruction reported on 700 Holmes Street at 8:50 p.m.
  • Possession of stolen property recorded on 1500 First Street at 1:35 p.m.
  • "Every Fifteen Minutes" presented to 11th- and 12-graders at Livermore and Granada high schools on May 22 and 23.
  • Vandalism/defaced property reported 9:47 p.m. on the 10100 block of Patterson Pass Road, and at 11 p.m. on 1800 Spruce Street.

Monday, May 21

  • Motorist with marijuana cited at 12:54 p.m. on Portola Avenue and Ridgecrest Circle.
  • DUI reported at 8:10 a.m. along I-580 and Airway Boulevard.
  • Vandalism logged at 3:14 a.m. along 200 Helen Way.
  • Individuals reportedly using or under the influence of controlled substances: 8:18 a.m. on Madeira Way and Vista Street; 7:27 p.m. on South L Street at Railroad Avenue; 11:21 p.m. on Paseo Laguna Seco at Portola Avenue.
  • Theft filings included: 12:01 a.m. on 5500 Brushy Peak Court; 9 a.m. on 1700 Mills Springs Common; 10:30 a.m. on 2700 First Street; and 3 p.m. on 1300 Railroad Avenue.
  • Possession of stolen property recorded at 1:23 p.m. along 1200 Portola Avenue.
  • Bench warrant arrest made at 8:36 p.m. on First and South K streets. 

Sunday, May 20

  • Arrests for suspected DUIs included: a Stockton man, 30, at 1:21 a.m., also for no license; Livermore man, 21, at 3:11 a.m. on Mines and Patterson Pass roads; Livermore man, 32, at 5:19 p.m. South L and Seventh streets; and a Livermore man, 48, at 6:09 p.m. on Murdell Lane and Stanley Boulevard, also charged with use/influence of controlled substances.
  • Residential burglary logged on 4200 Colgate Way at 3 a.m.
  • Telephone harassment reported at 5:15 p.m. along 2600 Old First Street.
  • Motorist driving on suspended license cited at 12:18 p.m. along North Vasco and Northfront roads.
  • An individual reportedly under the influence of controlled substances reported at 6:23 p.m. on 900 East Stanley Boulevard.

Saturday, May 19

  • Residential burglary reported at 5:30 p.m. on 1100 Norfolk Road.
  • Identity theft logged at 2:29 a.m. on 2200 Las Positas Road.
  • Bench warrant arrest made 2:50 p.m. on Scenic Avenue at Jayhawk Lane.
  • Car break-in filed at 12:01 a.m. on Second and McLeod streets.
  • Two arrests for suspected public intoxication: a Livermore man, 51, at 8:03 p.m. along 1500 First Street; and a Livermore male, 20, on 6100 Forget Me Not Common at 9:35 p.m.
