Police Log: Gun to The Head Interrupts Cell Call; Burglars Ruin Lunch

Notable incidents encountered April 28 to May 5.

A male motorist reportedly was parked on College Avenue near Fifth Street early Friday chatting on his cell phone when a gun was put to his head by two robbers.

"The guy told him to empty his pockets," said Officer Steven Goard of the .

The suspects had apparently pulled up behind the victim as he was parked at about 1 a.m. with his driver-side window down, Goard said.

The 19-year-old victim relinquished his phone, cash and credit cards, and after the two men fled in their vehicle, he contacted police, Goard said.

The victim told police that he possibly recognized the suspects and was able to provide a description of them and the vehicle used in the crime.

Both suspects were apprehended within hours, Goard said.

Nicolas Angelo, then 18, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at a home on the 1500 block of Sixth Street.

The second suspect, Joshua Millard, 24, was picked up at 10 a.m. at the Motel 6 in Springtown, Goard said.

The pair are in custody at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on felony robbery charges, with bail set at $75,000 for Angelo and $150,000 for Millard, filings state.

Arraignments for both were scheduled at the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton May 7 — which also happened to be Angelo's 19th birthday.

And nothing wrecks the lunch hour like arriving home to discover a break-in.

Six residential burglaries were reported last week, all between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to records.

Four occurred on the same day; two on the same street, reports show.
