Police Log: Thieves-a-Thieving; Impaired Drivers-a-Driving

Notable incidents encountered by police Dec. 18 to 24.

The Livermore Police Department this past week continued its DUI crackdown as part of the annual , which runs through Jan. 1, and also answered a flurry of burglary and theft calls.

Sunday, Dec.  18

  • Three early-morning arrests were made of motorists suspected of driving under the influence: a 19-year-old female at 1:02 a.m. at First Street and North Mines Road; a 26-year-old Livermore man at 2:01 a.m. on the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue; and a 42-year-old Dublin woman at 2:15 a.m. at North Livermore Avenue and Linden Street.
  • Vehicular burglary was logged at 3 a.m. from the 1700 block of Hollyhock Street.
  • A home on the 1500 block of Elm Street was reportedly burglarized at 6 p.m.
  • Vehicle was reported stolen from the 1500 block of Springtown Boulevard at 7 p.m.
  • A 51-year-old man was arrested on DUI charges at 11:24 p.m. at Junction Avenue and Chestnut Street.
  • A female, 19, was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:44 p.m. at North Livermore Avenue at Cromwell Way.
  • Vandalism was reported at 11:23 p.m. on the 1000 block of Herman Avenue.

Monday, Dec. 19

  • Vandalism was called in at 6:30 a.m. from the 1600 block of Pinehurst Court.
  • Residential burglary was reported at 1 a.m. from the 4300 block of Findlay Way.
  • Shoplifting was reported at 1:58 p.m. on the 2500 block of Las Positas Road.
  • Vehicular burglary was logged at 5:30 p.m. from the 2400 block of Kitty Hawk Road.
  • A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the 1100 block of Concannon Boulevard at 9 p.m.
  • Two motorists were arrested for suspected marijuana possession: on the 100 block of South L Street at 10:55 p.m.; and at 11 p.m. at Fourth and South P streets. 

Tuesday, Dec. 20

  • DUI arrests continued: at 12:13 a.m. at Portola Avenue and First Street; at 12:23 a.m. at East Stanley Boulevard and Railroad Avenue; 1:23 a.m. on the 1600 block of Walnut Street; and 2:24 a.m. on Holmes Street at Catalina Drive.
  • Four car break-ins were logged: at 7 a.m. on the 1100 block of East Stanley Boulevard; 6 p.m. on the 1000 block of Bellflower Street; at 7:45 p.m. on the 6500 block of Patterson Pass Road; and 8:30 p.m. from the 2600 Elston Street block.

Wednesday, Dec. 21

  • Vandalism was reported at 12:55 a.m. on the 100 block of Amber Way.
  • Domestic violence was reported on the 1400 block of Rebecca Drive at 2 a.m.
  • Arrests for DUIs included: a 23-year-old Livermore man at 12:40 a.m. on the 1600 block of North Vasco Road; a male, 26, at 2 a.m. at Old First Street and Junction Avenue; and another at 6:34 a.m. on the 100 block of North Mines Road. The Old First Street suspect was also charged with bodily injury as a result of alleged impaired driving and jailed with a $100,000 bail. 
  • Two burglaries cases were logged: a residential incident at 8 a.m. on the 700 block of Pine Street; and a commercial call from the 1700 block of Las Positas Road at 10:46 p.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 1500 block of El Padro Drive at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 22

  • More car break-ins: at 5:12 a.m. on the 1300 block of Lobelia Court and at 12:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Murrieta Boulevard.
  • Theft reports included: at 8:48 a.m. from the 1400 block of First Street; from the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:27 a.m.; and from the 2700 block of Las Positas Road at 5:20 p.m.
  • Commercial break-in was reported at 12:40 p.m. on Wall Street at Judith Way.
  • DUI arrest was made at 8:16 p.m. on Lee and Ladd avenues.

Friday, Dec. 23

  • Vehicular burglary was logged at 1 a.m. from the 1700 block of El Padro Drive.
  • A motorist was arrested for suspected DUI at 1:42 a.m. on South I and Fourth streets.
  • Two incidents of breaking-and-entering were reported: at 1:50 a.m. on the 4400 block of First Strret; and at 3:30 from a home on the 5600 block of Charlotte Way.
  • Vandalism was reported at 3 p.m. from the 2800 block of Independence Drive.
  • A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery at 8:56 p.m. on the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, and is still in custody with $15,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.

Saturday, Dec. 24

  • Assault and battery arrest was made of a male at 12:13 a.m. on the 2200 block of First Street.
  • Vandalism was called in from the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue at 3:15 a.m.
  • Four arrests were made for suspected possession of either narcotics, marijuana, drug paraphernalia or controlled substances: at 12:50 a.m. on Murdell Lane at Opal Way; at 2:48 a.m. on the 1500 block of Arlington Road; a 44-year-old man at 5 a.m. at Southfront Road and First Street; and on Coronado Way and El Dorado Drive at 4:50 p.m.
  • Vehicle was reported stolen at 5 p.m. from the 400 block of Fontonnet Avenue.
