Police Log: Would-Be Burglar Rearrested

Notable incidents encountered Feb. 19 to 25.

A Livermore man, arrested for attempted burglary at an elementary school, was rearrested in the Dunsmuir neighborhood last week on suspicion of possessing burglary tools, according to the Livermore Police Department.

The suspect, 20, was arrested Feb. 22 at 1:04 a.m. on Stockton Loop and Cooper Circle. 

He is in no-bail custody at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, and prosecutors are seeking to revoke his probation at his court hearing Feb. 28, records show.

The suspect was one of four individuals arrested Jan. 17, 2011  at Jackson Avenue Elementary School.

The suspect's cohort in last week's incident, a San Lorenzo man, 19, was arrested on suspected weapons charges for reportedly possessing a switchblade knife and wooden and metal knuckles, according to police records.

The San Lorenzo man is free on bail with a court date pending.

Friday, Feb. 24

  • Graffiti vandalism was reported at 10:30 a.m. along 1800 Park Street.
  • Battery reported at 8:35 p.m. along 2700 Las Positas Road.
  • Vandalism logged at 10:28 p.m. along 1500 Sixth Street.
  • Motorist charged with marijuana possession at 9:54 p.m. along 2200 Las Positas Road.
  • Two stolen vehicles reported: at 5 p.m. along 4200 First Street; and at 6:36 p.m. along 4300 Technology Drive.
  • Felony vandalism cited at noon at 3500 Paragon Outlets Drive.

Thursday, Feb. 23

  • Drug paraphernalia arrest made at 2:42 a.m. on Western and Ventura avenues.
  • Shoplifting reported at noon on 2800 Independence Drive.
  • Battery report made at 3:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of North Livermore Avenue.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

  • Battery reported at 12:02 a.m. along 1500 Heather Lane.
  • Felony grand theft of vehicle parts logged at 2 p.m. on the 2600 block of Chablis Way.
  • A Union City man, 24, was arrested for suspected DUI at 2:08 a.m. on First Street and Portola Avenue.
  • Two motorists were arrested for allegedly driving on suspended licenses from previous DUI convictions: at 12:01 a.m. along 2500 Old First Street; and at 3:45 p.m. along 1500 Pine Street.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

  • A 36-year-old Livermore male was arrested for suspected domestic battery at 9:43 p.m. on the 200 block of Lee Avenue.
  • Battery reported at 4:30 p.m. on 900 block of Murrieta Boulevard.
  • DUI arrest made at North Murrieta and Olivina Avenue at 5:25 p.m.
  • Motorist cited for marijuana possession at 9:04 a.m. on Isabel Avenue at I-580. 

Monday, Feb. 20

  • Vehicular burglary reported at  1:30 a.m. along 3000 Constitution Drive.
  • An 18-year-old Livermore man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and stolen property at 4:36 a.m. on the 800 block of Comanche Court. 
  • Vandalism cited along 2300 Nissen Drive at 6:36 a.m.
  • Public-intoxication arrest made at 7:45 p.m. on the 1400 block of Naples Way.
  • Two felony drug-possession arrests made: at 4:01 p.m. on the 500 block of North L Street; and at 9:41 p.m. at South I and Seventh streets.

Sunday, Feb. 19

  • Residential burglary reported at 12:01 a.m. along 1700 Montecito  Circle.
  • Battery reported at 1:30 a.m. on 3000 Pacific Avenue.
  • Felony vandalism cited at 3:24 p.m. on 800 North O Street.
  • Domestic violence reported on the 5900 block of Cypress Point Drive at 9:30 a.m.
  • Stolen vehicle recovered on the 300 block of North L Street at 3:20 p.m.
  • Motorist cited for marijuana possession at 1:30 a.m. on North Livermore Avenue and Las Positas Road.
  • Public intoxication arrests were made of two males at 4:56 a.m. along 2800 Constitution Drive.
  • DUI arrest made of a male motorist at 2:11 a.m. on First Street, near I-580.
