Police Log: Fisticuffs and Break-Ins

Notable incidents encountered Jan. 22 to 28.

The Livermore Police Department responded last week to six assault and battery calls, about half domestic-violence related.

Five homes were also burglarized and two cars stolen, according to police reports.

Saturday, Jan. 28

  • Three separate assaults were reported: at 8:10 p.m. along 2100 First Street; and two domestic violence-related at 9:32 p.m. from the 4400 block of First, and at 9:46 p.m. from the 600 block of Huntington Way.
  • Three motorists arrested for suspected driving under the influence included: at 1:13 a.m. at South Livermore Avenue and First; 1:15 a.m. along 3500 First; and an individual already on probation for a previous DUI at 12:02 a.m. at Linden and North K streets.
  • Suspected public intoxication arrests were made at 1:43 a.m. from First and South Livermore Avenue, at 7:22 p.m. along 2300 Nissen Drive, and at 8:58 p.m. on First and Livermore.
  • Controlled-substance arrest was reported at 1:55 a.m. at Second and McLeod streets.

Friday, Jan. 27

  • Domestic violence assault reported at 2:10 a.m. from the 200 block of North Murrieta Boulvard.
  • Assault and battery reported at 11:30 p.m. from along 1700 Catalina Court.
  • A minor was arrested at 11:57 a.m. along 2200 Fifth Street for allegedly possessing marijuana on school grounds.
  • Two residential burglaries reported: at 6:45 a.m. on the 2100 block of Shetland Road; and at 8 a.m. from the 1100 block of Lucille Street.
  • Car break-ins reported at 1:27 p.m. at Fifth and Maple streets, and at 10 p.m. along 500 Olivina Avenue.
  • Stolen vehicle report filed at 1:40 p.m. from the 600 block of Starling Avenue.

Thursday, Jan. 26

  • Residential burglary reported on the 500 block of Fontonnet Avenue at 6:15 p.m.
  • Commercial burglary logged at 10 p.m. from 2700 Las Positas Road.
  • Theft reported from 2800 Independence Avenue at 12:45 p.m.
  • Public-intoxication arrest made at 9:50 p.m. along 1500 First Street.
  • Narcotics-related arrests included: suspected under the influence at 1:16 a.m. on 1300 North Vasco Road; possession at 2:05 p.m. on the 1000 block of Dolores Street; and paraphernalia possession at 8:30 p.m. along 1200 North P Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

  • Two drunk-and-disorderly arrests made: at 12:55 a.m. along 2500 Railroad Avenue; and at 9:40 p.m. on 100 South L Street.
  • Theft was recorded on the 4400 block of First Street at 7:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

  • Vandalism on the 3500 block of Leahy Way cited at 10:30 a.m.
  • Vehicle was reported stolen at 3 a.m. from 1000 Murrieta Boulevard.
  • Vehicular burglary called in at 8 a.m. from 5600 Oakmont Circle.
  • Two home burlgaries reported: along 5700 Woodrose Way at 9 p.m.; and at 9:30 p.m. from the 1300 block of Elm Street.
  • Commercial burglary on the 100 block of North Livermore Avenue logged at 2:30 a.m.
  • Controlled-substance arrests made: 1:19 a.m. along 5900 Cypress Point Drive; and at 12:55 p.m. on Park and North M streets.
  • Battery was reported at 5 p.m. on the 2200 block of Bess Avenue.

Monday, Jan. 23

  • Motorist was cited for alleged marijuana possession on South Livermore Avenue and Second Street at 3:30 p.m.
  • Car break-in reported at 11 p.m. along 300 Earhart Way. 

Sunday, Jan. 22

  • Commercial burglary was reported on the 2300 block of Nissen Drive at noon.
  • Arrests for suspected DUIs reported at: 12:36 a.m. on North N Street and Railroad Avenue; 1:57 a.m. on North Livermore Avenue and Las Positas Road; 2:14 a.m. on First and Scott streets; and 2:40 a.m. on North Livermore and Railroad.
  • Public intoxication arrest made at 1:40 a.m. on South J and First streets.
  • An arrest for alleged narcotics possession made at 10 a.m. along 4600 Lassen Road.
