Police are investigating a report of a stabbing near the McDonald's restaurant off Chestnut and North P streets.
Officers were called to the area around 6:15 p.m. Saturday but found no victim or suspects, Livermore Police Sgt. Jason Boberg said.
"We have reason to believe there was a fight, but don't know to what extent," Boberg said.
In addition, police found a small amount of blood at the scene, but nothing consistent with any major trauma, Boberg said.
An investigation is ongoing.
