Police Investigating Report of Stabbing Near McDonald's

No victim or suspects found when police arrived on scene of reported altercation near the McDonald's restaurant in north Livermore.

Police are investigating a report of a stabbing near the McDonald's restaurant off Chestnut and North P streets.

Officers were called to the area around 6:15 p.m. Saturday but found no victim or suspects, Livermore Police Sgt. Jason Boberg said.

"We have reason to believe there was a fight, but don't know to what extent," Boberg said.

In addition, police found a small amount of blood at the scene, but nothing consistent with any major trauma, Boberg said.

An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who saw the incident may contact the Livermore Police Department at 925-371-4900.

This area needs to be monitored much closer by the LPD.There are alot of kids who must travel thru this area to get to Junction school.I have seen many activities going on as you drive by that the police should be involved in.That area NEEDS to be cleaned up for the kids safety as well!

Old town Livermore is a dumping ground for the new American way of life, section 8 housing, food stamps, free medical, with no jobs or personal responsibility to contribute to society. That fact combined with a police department that is a three on the scale of one to ten gives Livermore the down spiral of the communities quality of life. The above is the reason I left Livermore in 2002 after 30 years of living there. The great little country town is no more and will most likely slide farther from a safe family community in years to come without developing a better quality and more efficient police department.
