A Fremont police officer was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving over the weekend in Livermore, according to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle.

A pair of California Highway Patrol officers riding together spotted the cop at 3 a.m. Saturday weaving and driving 72 mph in his truck on westbound Interstate 580 near Airway Boulevard, according to the report.

The Chronicle identifies the Fremont officer as 28-year-old William Brendon Johnson.

Further details from the San Francisco Chronicle article:

The officers pulled Johnson over and smelled alcohol on him, said CHP Officer Steve Creel. Johnson failed a field-sobriety test and was booked at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, Creel said.

Fremont police officials declined to comment Monday, saying it was a personnel matter.

Rafael and his crew do great work, and not just lawn service. He replaced our sprinkler system andRead More sodded two new lawns when we moved into our house. He and his crew have trimmed trees, planted flowers, and even built a new fence and gate. All at a fair price. I can't recommend his services enough.
