Man Wanted In Storage Locker Burglaries

Police urging customers to check storage lockers and report missing items.

A 45-year-old man is wanted on burglary charges stemming from storage lockers that were broken into in early May, police said.

Police have been unable to locate the suspect, identified as Duane Agamau. In addition to the burglary charge, Agamau faces a charge of possession of stolen property.

Other suspects may be involved in the burglaries at on Southfront Road, police said.

The burglaries were reported between May 4 and May 6 by employees and customers.

Many of the units had been re-secured with padlocks to conceal they had been burglarized, police said.

Agamau rents a locker at Livermore Self Storage, police said.

On May 9, police served a search warrant at the storage facility and recovered a large amount of confirmed and suspected stolen property, more than 140 items.

A majority of the those items were found in Agamau's locker, police said.

Those items are mostly computer equipment, home electronics, clothing and tools, police said.

There is a possibility that other customers may have been victimized but may not be aware of the burglaries. Customers are urged to check the contents of their storage lockers and report any loss immediately to the at 925-371-4900.
