A man who was killed in a solo crash on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore Thursday morning has been identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau as 32-year-old David Guidicatti.

Guidicatti, of Tracy, was driving his black Land Rover on westbound Highway 580, just west of the Airway Boulevard off-ramp, when he crashed his car at about 8:15 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Creel said.

Creel said that Guidicatti was driving his car about 35 mph during the morning commute when he jerked the car left and overturned, blocking the two left lanes when it came to rest.

Guidicatti and a 40-year-old Tracy woman, who was sitting in the back of the car on folded down seats with various cargo, were ejected from the car, Creel said.

A third passenger, a 30-year-old Tracy man riding in the front passenger seat, remained in the car and crawled out after the vehicle came to rest, he said.

Guidicatti was pronounced dead at the scene, Creel said.

The other two victims were taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley — one by air, another by land — to be treated for their injuries, he said.

The woman is suffering from major injuries, while the man has lesser injuries, Creel said.

Creel said it appears that no one in the car was wearing a seatbelt.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:35 a.m. when the CHP closed the westbound lanes. Some traffic was allowed to pass through on the right shoulder, Creel said.

All lanes reopened at about 10:30 a.m., Creel said. CHP is still investigating what caused the driver to veer suddenly.

Livermore police assisted the CHP with traffic control during the road closure.
