A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a child under 14 years of age, according to court records.
David Charles Garrison was taken into custody by late Sunday. He is scheduled to be arraigned on multiple sexual abuse charges at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Department 701 of the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton.
Garrison is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in lieu of $350,000 bail, according to court records.
At around 10 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a residence in the Springtown area for a report of a man that was caught having sexual contact with a minor, according to reports heard on a police scanner.
The caller told police she walked in on the man while he was sexually abusing the minor.
Livermore Police Lt. Ava Garavatti on Tuesday declined to comment on the incident and said the case is still under investigation.
Livermore Patch will update this story as more information is made available.
