CHERRY, AT LEAST YOU ARE NOT AFRAID TO ADMIT THAT A LOT OF PERVERTS EXIST IN LIVERMORE. IT SEEMS THAT EVERY TIME LIVERMORE IS MENTIONED ON THE NEWS, ITS A SEXUALLY RELATED CRIME. I hate to say this, but I think it IS the same David Garrison-What are the odds that there would be 2 David Garrison's in the same town, busted for the same reason? Slim to none! This guy's a freekin' SICKO/PSYCHO! I hope the court puts him behind bars for for a very long time....and frankly he shouldn't be allowed bail!

To answer a few of your questions:
The court records show the arrest was made in Livermore — nothing to indicate Garrison is a Livermore resident. And I've reached out to police to see if they can clarify if this is a different man from another David Garrison you all mentioned. Will let you know when I hear back. Thanks

David Garrison who was arrested in 2010 was 45 years old. The above article lists this David Garrison as 37.

Lt. Garavatti says the man identified in this article is a different David Garrison. I've also requested a photo from the Alameda County Sheriffs Office/Santa Rita Jail and am waiting to hear back.

Thanks, Kristofer, for checking on this. Many people seem to have a "mob mentality" regarding criminals. It's so unfortunate that there are pedophiles in our community; however, as something mentioned previously, they are all over the world. Livermore is a wonderful place to live.

I understand this is public record but this is a very sensitive subject and the amount of information released should not have so much information. Livermore is a small town, Springtown even smaller. The child(ren) could live locally and beleive me it would not be that difficult to figure out who this man is. And no it is not the same David Garrison that was arrested for Child pornography back in 09/10.

@ John Thompson, in no way was my comment meant to be protective of This very sick individual. There is a family involved here, a child and his/her family. My concern is with them. This is a small town, it is very easy to figure out who this person is. Think about it, this guy may have kids, the victom could have been one of these kids, growing up and going to school in Livermore. And the other Kids are now teasing his children when they had nothing to do with his demented sickness! Trust me, It has happened! Kids are cruel!
I hope he gets whats coming to him in prison! Prisoners DO NOT LIKE CHILD MOLESTORS and I hope he gets NAILED!! But the worse part is he will probably be released before some guy who is in for selling an ounce of marijuana!

John Thompson - Wow! Thank you for taking such a strong stand for protecting children, exposing the dangerous criminals, and refusing to back down. KUDOS TO YOU!!! It is bewildering when people want to hush hush bad behaviors and pretend like it doesn't exist instead of exposing them and then using it to educate our children. I am currently researching places to live on the east bay and loved the downtown in Livermore. But, I have been reviewing crime stats and Livermore is pretty high crime, especially violent sex crimes. What's with that? Anyway, I think I'll be heading to Danville.

Livermore is a good family oriented town, you only hear rare negativity on the news. Sex offenders are everywhere..they could be your neighbor. Don't think its just Livermore, its just rare we have extreme crime.
I do believe It is a different David garrison.he is a resident of Livermore. this is extremely sad and I pray for the victim
