Man Arrested in Oregon in Connection to Shooting Death of Robert Ogden

Jacob Kober, 24, was arrested in Springfield, Ore., and is the suspect in connection to the death of Robert Ogden, who was found dead near the Springtown Golf Course on Dec. 29.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Oregon on Wednesday in connection to the shooting death of Robert Ogden, according to the Livermore Police Department.

Jacob Kober was arrested in Springfield, Ore., located just outside of Eugene. He is currently in custody at the Lake County Sheriff's Department awaiting extradition and will be brought to San Rita Jail.

Livermore police believe Kober fled to Oregon after the Dec. 29 shooting. Kober, a Livermore resident, and Ogden were acquaintances, according to Officer Traci Rebiejo.

Livermore police, citing an ongoing investigation, did not release what they believe was the motive for the killing.

Kober was a 2006 graduate of Granada High School, according to his Facebook page.

In June, Kober and two other were arrested in Danville on suspicion of burglary. Kober was charged with a probation violation, grand theft and possession of stolen property. He was also arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for burglary.

Ogden, 28, was found dead at the Springtown Golf Course by a jogger on the morning of Dec. 29. He had been shot multiple times.
