The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department on Thursday promoted five new engineers: Anthony Bertuccelli, Matt Brett, Matt Johnson, Doug Murray, and Scott Otvos.

Officials on the department's Facebook page said:

These promotions were a result of vacancies that needed to be filled after recent retirements, and the re-opening of . Congratulations to the newest LPFD Engineers!
