Livermore Man Found Dead in Creek Near Murrieta Boulevard

The 62-year-old man's body was found in the creek around 6:24 p.m. last night, according to police.

Livermore Police have confirmed that the body of a 62-year-old man was found in the creek near the 900 block of Murrieta Boulevard.

"At about 6:24 p.m., Livermore Police received a call of a welfare check," Officer Traci Rebiejo said. "Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a man who was deceased in the creek."

According to Rebiejo, the man, whose identity is known but not yet being released, was a 62-year-old Livermore resident.

Rebiejo says the man's body in now in the possession of the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau.

Police were not able to comment on how long the man had been in the creek and will release more information as details become available.

According to Google Maps, the creek in that area runs behind Granada High School and between the apartments in the 900 block of Murrieta Boulevard.
