Livermore Man Arrested on Suspicion of Sexually Assaulting Woman

Police say a Livermore man working as a physician's assistant at a San Jose weight loss clinic has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient last month.

Bay City News Service — A physician's assistant at a San Jose weight loss clinic has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient last month, police said Friday.

On Feb. 2, Waissuddin Ali, 35, of Livermore, allegedly assaulted a woman during her appointment at a "Doc's Diet" clinic located at 22 N. White Road in San Jose, where he was working as a physician's assistant, police said.

An investigation into the incident led to Ali's arrest.

Police said they do not believe Ali has assaulted any other patients at the clinic.

A co-owner of the Northern California diet clinic chain could not immediately be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
