UPDATE: All Lanes Reopened After I-580 Blocked This Morning Due to Big Rig Fire

The lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore were blocked and have reopened as of 6 a.m.

All lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore have reopened following a big rig fire this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP, the big rig's trailer caught fire on eastbound I-580, just west of Airway Boulevard, at about 3:35 a.m.

The big rig was parked on the shoulder of the roadway when fire crews arrived and no injuries were reported, according to the CHP.

The roadway was cleared by 6 a.m., according to the CHP.

A big rig fire on eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore is blocking the three right lanes this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP, the big rig's trailer caught fire on eastbound I-580, just west of Airway Boulevard, at about 3:35 a.m.

The big rig was parked on the shoulder of the roadway when fire crews arrived.

Crews are on scene and working to extinguish the blaze. No injuries have been reported, according to the CHP.

Just before 4 a.m. CHP issued a Sig Alert for the area and updated the alert to say only one right lane was still blocked around 4:30 a.m., according to the CHP website.
