Got a Question for the New Livermore Chief of Police?

Chief Michael Harris is being sworn on Aug. 21. Tell us what you want to know.

The city of Livermore and the Livermore Police Department are swearing in the city's next Chief of Police, Michael Harris, on Wednesday.

Harris comes from the Modesto Police Department and is replacing former Chief Steve Sweeney, who retired in March. He was selected from a pool of nearly 40 candidates.

We want to know, what questions do you have for the new Chief of Police? What are are some pressing issues that are on your mind?

We will collect the top 10 questions you ask here and forward them to Chief of Police Harris. Once we have the answers, we'll post them here on Livermore Patch.

For those interested in attending the ceremony, it will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the Cresta Blanca Room at the Robert Livermore Community Center, 4444 East Avenue.

Please RSVP at: ccampbell@cityoflivermore.net or (925) 371-4710.
