Four Arrested on Charge of Attempted Burglary at Jackson Avenue School

Police catch suspects on elementary school's roof.

Four Livermore residents were arrested Monday night during an attempted break-in at Jackson Avenue Elementary School, according to the Livermore Police Department.

Police responding to reports of a campus alarm about 9:30 p.m. found four suspects on the school roof, Sgt. Erin Cole said.

The suspects appeared to be in the process of removing a skylight, he said. Officers also recovered suspected burglary tools.

No property from the school was reported lost, Cole said.

Arrested in the incident and booked at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin were Michael Peterson, 19; Nicholas Gonzales, 20; and Mariah Oribello, 19.

The three are each being held on $25,000 bail and are scheduled to appear for arraignment Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the in Pleasanton, according to court records.

The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested and released to his parents, Cole said.
