A structure fire on the 300 block of North P Street has been extinguished, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Peters said.
Fire crews arrived on scene shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday and were met with heavy smoke throughout the home.
Peters said the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, which sparked a sprinkler activation. The house sits at a corner of the North P Street and Olivina Avenue intersection, and across the McDonald's restaurant.
The owner of the property says the house is listed as a historic landmark in town, according to Peters.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
