Firefighters Make Short Work of Third Brush Fire in 3 Days

There were several fires in Livermore over the weekend.

A fire in the area of Arroyo Mocho and Creek Drive late Sunday night was contained about 15 minutes after fire crews arrived, fire officials said.

Fire officials did not list a cause for the fire in the brush area behind Creek Drive in Livermore.

Fire personnel were busy in Livermore last weekend. 

On Saturday night, a mylar balloon is believed to have caused a fire near Kalthoff Cmn.

Another 3-alarm grass fire was quickly contained near Granada High School on Sunday.

On Saturday afternoon, fire crews also responded to a crash after a car backed over a retaining wall into an occupied apartment on Paseo Laguna Secco.

Nearby in Sunol, fire personnel were called to help with a fatal collision on Highway 84 Saturday evening.

On Friday night in Pleasanton, firefighters responded to a train fatality that appears to have been a suicide.
