Firefighters Extinguish Car Fire After Crash

All of the occupants of the vehicles were out of the car when fire crews arrived.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital last night after a two-car collision in the area of Isabel Avenue and Discovery Lane in Livermore resulted in a car fire, Livermore Pleasanton Fire officials said.

According to Livermore Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Joe Testa, two vehicles were found with moderate damage from a rear-end type collision, but one was completely engulfed in fire.

"All occupants were out of the vehicles" Testa said. "One of the passengers was taken to a local hospital by Paramedics Plus. The car fire was quickly extinguished. CHP was on scene and handling the investigation."
