VIDEO: Firefighters Extinguish Lee Avenue House Blaze

No injuries reported in Sunday evening house fire.

Firefighters on Sunday evening extinguished a house blaze at the 100 block of Lee Avenue.

Emergency crews were sent to the area at 6:36 p.m. and were able to knock down the fire within 15 minutes, said Joe Rodondi, deputy fire chief of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

The residents were not home during the fire and no injuries were reported, Rodondi said.

When firefighters arrived on scene a steady stream of smoke was seen escaping through the top of the home's roof.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze confined to the kitchen, Rodondi said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
