Firefighters Battle 300-Acre Fire Near Sunol

Authorities say the fire is mostly contained this evening

A vegetation fire burning in Sunol is 75 percent contained this evening, an Alameda County fire spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. near 8501 Calaveras Road and has burned around 300 acres, fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.

Knowles said there are more than 200 firefighters at the scene from multiple agencies.

We saw white smoke, looking like clouds from our back yard around that time off No.Vasco Rd. Be safe and blessings to you all fighting this unfortunate fire.
