Fire Officials: Yard, Fence Fire Displaces Family, Causes $20,000 Damage

The fire appears to be accidental, according to fire officials.

The LPFD responded to a fire in the side yard between two residences in the 1600 block of El Padro Dr. at 2:53 a.m. on June 30.  Numerous neighbors reported the fire. The fence and side yards were heavily involved in fire upon our arrival.  

The fire had spread to both residences, but the fire was quickly extinguished by fire personnel.

Damage to the residences were minimal.  One family was displaced, and relocated to a relatives.  Paramedics Plus Ambulance examined one resident on the scene, but this resident chose not to be transported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and appears to be accidental. An early dollar loss is estimated at $20,000.
