Two homes on the south end of Pleasanton were burglarized yesterday. Pleasanton Police confirmed that both of the homes, one in the 6400 block of Arlington and the other in the 400 block of San Gabriel Court, were burglarized during day time hours and appear to be related.
During one of the burglaries, the family pet, a five-year-old pug named Holly, was taken. Holly's owners contacted Patch asking for help to find their beloved pet.
"There's evidence to show that Holly was taken and that she did not run out," Sergeant Kurt Schlehuber commented.

"My name is Cynthia Castronovo and I am fifteen years old. Yesterday, my house was robbed in broad daylight in the morning around 9-10 AM. Whoever these thieves are they got into our home by breaking our sliding glass door and stole our valuable jewelry, all of our electronics, and many other precious items. Among the worst, they stole my best friend and our loved pet Holly. She is a five year old Pug who is the most sweetest and gentle pet anyone could ever know. I miss her so much and my family including myself are very distraught over our loss. In hopes that you could help us, we wish that you could possibly get our incident out to inform people to look and hopefully find our dog. I still don't understand how this could happen to my family, my father has lived in this house for over twenty years and nothing like this has ever happened. Its very hard for me to grasp how such a despicable person could ever resort to stealing our family dog. Holly is my very best friend, she sleeps with me every night and to go about these days without her is very hard on me. It just makes me very heartbroken that I cannot be with her right now. I would appreciate greatly if you could do anything to help me and my family through this time."
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to call the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100.
