Did You See The Small Fire Near I-580?

Several fire departments worked together to quickly extinguish the flames.

Drivers on the I-580 likely saw the flames from a small vegetation fire that broke out in Livermore just before 7:30 p.m. last night.

"It was a 1/2 acre fire westbound I-580, east of North Flynn in the center divider," Alameda County Fire spokesperson Aisha Knowles said.

Livermore Pleasanton Fire and Tracy Fire assisted Alameda County Fire in knocking down the flames, according to Livermore Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Joe Testa.

Fire officials did not say what sparked the fire.
