A man was found dead inside a room Sunday morning, said Officer Traci Rebiejo of the .
At 11:09 a.m. police received a call from a hotel staff member reporting a male was found in a room and unresponsive.
When emergency crews arrived on scene the man was pronouced dead.
"There are no overly obvious signs of how he died," Rebiejo said.
Police at this time have not identified the man, described as a middle-aged white male.
Officials are calling it a suspicious death until the Alameda County Coroner's Office completes an investigation, Rebiejo said.
