Crews Extinguish House Fire in Livermore

Grass fire reported in the 4000 block of Dyer Road, in unincorporated part of town.

Update: 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31: Firefighters have extinguished a one-alarm vegetation and house fire in unincorporated Livermore, according to an Alameda County fire dispatcher.

The fire department initially received reports around 2 p.m. of a grass fire in the 4000 block of Dyer Road, but crews arriving on the scene found that the flames had also spread to a nearby house, according to the dispatcher.

Firefighters were able to knock down the flames a short time before 3 p.m., he said.

No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately known if anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Crews are fighting a one-alarm house fire in unincorporated Livermore this afternoon, according to an Alameda County fire dispatcher.

The fire department received reports around noon of a grass fire in the 4000 block of Dyer Road, the dispatcher said. Since that time, the flames spread to a nearby home, he said.
