Caught on Camera: Walmart Burglarized on Christmas Day

The burglars struck early on Dec. 25 and got away with electronics, according to police

Livermore Police officials say two men were caught on surveillance video burglarizing the Walmart store in Livermore during the early morning hours on Christmas Day.

According to Officer Traci Rebiejo, around 3:35 a.m. on Dec. 25, officers responding to a report of an alarm at 2700 Las Positas Road discovered the front glass windows of the Walmart had been broken.

Rebiejo says a full interior search of the store conducted by an Alameda County Sheriff's canine unit did not turn up any suspects.

"A lot of electronics were taken during the burglary," Rebiejo said. "The surveillance video shows what appears to be two males, of an unknown race, with their faces covered."

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a light-colored, newer model four-door Dodge Charger with a sunroof and dark-colored wheel rims, according to Rebiejo.

Anyone with information is asked to call Livermore Police at 925-371-4900.
