Ogden's uncle, Christopher Ogden, posted on Patch that a candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. tonight near where he was found, at Bluebell Drive and Scenic Avenue.

Based on comments by neighbors, who watched the crime scene unfold all day Saturday, the body was of a young man wearing a baseball cap with a backpack and bright red shoes.

His friends said Ogden was a 28-year-old father who was a good friend, a good protecter and "beautiful, understanding and funny."

Others who said they knew him say they weren't surprised to hear of his death and describe him as having ties to gangs and drugs.

However, Livermore police said there was no indication that the homicide was gang related.

Police did not release further details. Investigators asked for the public's help in identifying any suspects.

Anyone who might have information regarding the case is asked to contact Livermore police Officer Traci Rebiejo at (925) 371-4858.
