Update: Lanes Reopened on I-580

CHP has issued a sig-alert on eastbound Interstate 580 in Livermore after a big rig slid off the road this afternoon

The lanes of eastbound Interstate 580 near Livermore have been reopened after CHP officers cleared away a big rig accident.

According to the KCBS radio traffic website, the accident near Greenville Road was cleared at 3:52 p.m.

Traffic is reportedly still moving slowly, though.

A Sig-alert had been issued earlier this afternoon after a collision involving a big-rig, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The collision, involving at least one truck and possibly another vehicle, was reported at 2:07 p.m. The alert was issued at 2:22 p.m., according to CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett.

The big-rig was blocking the far left lane after it slid off the side of the highway.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash.
