UPDATE: Woman Injured After Being Hit by Vehicle

A 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle in front of the Springtown Library.

A 32-year-old Livermore woman was injured Wednesday morning after she was struck by a vehicle, police said.

The accident was reported just before 7 a.m. in front of the on Bluebell Drive.

The woman crossed the street after a car stopped for her.

However, another vehicle went around the stopped car and struck the woman, Sgt. John Hurd said.

The woman was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. She suffered a broken leg and other non-life threatening injuries, Hurd said.

The 51-year-old driver who hit the pedestrian stuck around after the accident and cooperated with police, Hurd said. An investigation is ongoing.
