Attempted Vehicle Theft Prompts School Lockdown
Marylin Avenue was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday morning during a police investigation.
Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday morning as police investigated an attempted vehicle theft, Sgt. Erin Cole said.
At around 8 a.m. officers were sent to a residence on Nightingale Street for a report of an attempted vehicle theft.
A man told police that he saw a person inside of his truck.

The man then confronted the woman, who was with a male companion, Cole said.
Both suspects took off running and were later found by an officer on Ora Avenue.

The woman, Rebecca Cruz, was positively identified as a suspect, Cole said.
Cruz, 20, is a Livermore resident. She was arrested on suspicion of attempted vehicle theft, Cole said.
The male suspect fled from officers through , and was last seen running toward Marylin Avenue school.
The campus was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The suspect was not located and is still at large, Cole said.
He is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, and was last seen wearing black pants, a gray-hooded sweatshirt, standing 6 feet tall and about 170 lbs.
