A female shopper was held up at gunpoint and reportedly robbed of her handbag last week in the parking lot of Costco, according to the Livermore Police Department.
The 33-year-old woman called 911 on Feb. 11 from the retailer on Independence Drive to report she was exiting her vehicle at 7 p.m. when she was accosted by a man wielding a silver handgun and demanding her purse, said Livermore Officer Keith Tse.
The victim said she complied, dropped her bag and the robber grabbed it and fled eastbound on foot toward North Canyons Parkway, Tse said.
An area search yielded no suspects, he added.
The perpetrator was described as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a black hoodie and dark pants, Tse said.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Livermore law enforcement at (925) 371-4900.
