CHP officers arrest Stanislaus County man on suspicion of DUI following solo accident near Interstate 580 in Livermore.

A 21-year-old Stanislaus County man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI following a solo accident that sent six people to the hospital, authorities said.

At around 10:30 p.m. emergency crews were sent to the area for a report of a car on its roof after it left the road on Cayetano Court, near westbound Interstate 580, and traveled down 30 feet into a ravine, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Peters said.

California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Creel said the driver of the car, Giovani Barocio of Empire, was arrested on suspicion of a felony DUI causing injury.

All six people inside the car suffered minor to moderate injuries, Creel said.

Five people were sent to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley and another person was sent to Highland Hospital in Oakland.

Kevin and Chris are good guys. They genuinely want to give back and care about introducing as manyRead More kids (young and old) as possible to the incredibly rewarding world of music. I am fortunate enough to have had somebody similar to these guys motivate me to get involved in music when I was a kid. 31 years later, I am still beatin’ on my drums every day. Great job Kev and Chris. Keep it up!
