A 4-year-old boy drowned in his family's swimming pool, according to a report by the San Jose Mercury News.
The boy on Thursday afternoon briefly wandered from his mother's view, according to the report. The mother minutes later found her child at the bottom of her backyard swimming pool.

The woman pulled the boy from the pool, and was on the phone with dispatchers who were helping her through CPR efforts when police arrived...Emergency responders attempted CPR at the scene, then took the boy to Valley Care Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from the drowning.
