1,200 Racers Expected at Sold Out Hook and Ladder Run

Officials say Sunday's 4th Annual Hook & Ladder Run has sold out.

More than 1,200 racers are expected to participate at , said Scott Canfield, a firefighter helping organize the event.

The event is sold out — all online and day of registration is closed — and will help raise funds for the Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Foundation, a non-profit that supports injured and fallen firefighters, the Burn Foundation and local charities in the Tri-Valley.

Organizers are encouraging folks to come out, cheer the runners on and visit the vendor booths at the event.

Runs are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. The event will be held at located at 5050 Arroyo Road in Livermore.
