I read a letter to the editor in the independent news a few weeks ago where John Shirley (wasn't he the mayor years ago and a good friend of the owner of the Independent) says that in order to keep the Bankhead from closing that they should "withhold future payments to the bank" until a plan is worked out.
What if I did that with my house or car payment too? The bank would come and take the car and the house.
What John Shirley advocates is in direct conflict with how a properly run organization should behave.
