Community Update

Since Hayward has no Patch, I am posting on the Castro Valley's.

Last night the Hayward City Council voted to give it's lowest paid employee's a 17% pay cut. They have refused to come to the table and come to a fair agreement. Employee after employee talked to the council begging them not to approve this horrible unfair contract. They just sat up on the bench and could care less that people are going to loose homes,  no food on the table and unable to pay bills. Last year we already gave up 12% and did three years of furlough that totaled addition 15%. The city Manager Fran David gave herself a 20,000.00 raise, durning the time we were giving up money for a so called broke City. The city agreed to a fact finding report and that the council approved of, and they found that The City had been lying and has money to pay us fairly. 

If you are pro union and have a minute to contact the City manager or The Mayor and tell them how wrong they are.
