Celebration of Life for Kristina Chesterman

Friends and family are celebrating the life of 21-year-old nursing student Kristina Chesterman this morning at the Cornerstone Church in Livermore at 10:30 a.m.

A memorial page has been set up in Chesterman's name for those who wish to donate to the charities Chesterman loved. A nursing scholarship at California State University Chico was created in her honor.

Sweatshirts are available for $30 to help the Chesterman family, according to booster.com. According to the Kristina Chesterman Facebook page, bracelets will be sold for $2 to benefit the Chesterman family.

Chesterman was hit by a drunk driver on Sept. 22 while riding her bicycle back to the California State University Chico campus.

A candle light ceremony organized by Chesterman's cheer team from Granada High School was held at her parents' home in Livemore on Sept. 23. According to a report on KRCR TV, on Sept. 25, the flag Chico State was lowered in honor of Chesterman's life.

KRCR TV reported that Chesterman's organs were donated and saved the lives of two babies and one friend of the Chesterman family.
