The Livermore Valley Sports Page is excited to have the opportunity to spread the word about youth sports in our town. Livermore has all the components necessary to make up what we would define as a “football town”. We won’t stop at football however. The cultural make up of this town demands athletic opportunities of all types for its youth. Travel baseball, Little League Baseball, High Comp Soccer, Rec Soccer, Swimming, Water Polo, and even youth Rodeo are huge in our town. But when was the last time you read about it?
Unfortunately, our town does not have the “Local Paper” like you see in many towns similar in size to Livermore. To find local sports scores, league standings and updates about our local programs now is a challenge. The Independent provides an opportunity in the form of a weekly hard copy community paper, but there are no field reporters or “Sports Staff Writers” going into the field to follow and cover our young aspiring athletes. Content is mostly provided by readers, and is usually a bit stale by the time it reaches your mail box. We do however applaud the Independent and I personally look forward to my edition each and every week.
Now we see that The Patch is promoting the coverage of sports in our town in the form of a Blog. From the providers of the Patch itself: “With the new Patch platform, blogs are automatically featured front-and-center on the Livermore Patch homepage. As soon as you post, the community can join your discussion. How cool is that?”

We think it’s pretty cool, and we would eagerly encourage fans of youth sports in this town to brag, discuss, and promote your children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren or your favorite sports program. We applaud the Livermore Patch for promoting sports and providing a venue for sports fans to gather and discuss the topic of sports in our town. Being huge fans of football, you can expect to see many entries from us regarding the Football programs at Livermore High School, Granada High School and the Livermore Junior Football League. These programs are exciting to watch and with demand for information and updates about these programs being at an all time high, the Livermore Valley Sports Page hopes to provide you with information that will ultimately promote and recognize the achievements of the athletes in our town.
