Local Duo to Entertain at Tea with TVH

Tri-Valley Haven’s backyard garden will be the setting for “Tea with TVH,” a tea party from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 18 at the social services agency’s Community Building.

The Haven’s board of directors is hosting their second annual tea to raise funds AND awareness of the many vital services that Tri-Valley Haven provides -- a homeless shelter and a domestic violence shelter; a food pantry; assistance for victims of rape and sexual assault, and legal and counseling services. TVH also operates the Buenas Vidas Thrift Shop, an inexpensive source of clothing and household furnishings.

Queen of Hearts Combo -- local musicians Kate Snyder and Dan Stewart -- will provide entertainment.  Snyder, retired from a career as a facilities manager at the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, is a vocalist who also plays harmonica and percussion; Stewart, a retired businessman, is a lifelong aficionado of the acoustic guitar.  They will donate their performance of updated cover songs from an eclectic array of musicians of the ‘70s through the present to help raise funds for Tri-Valley Haven.
