Children's Book Drive

Assistance League of Amador Valley is holding a book drive in support of Make a Difference Day, October 26, a national day of community service. New books for children in kindergarten through 5th grade are being collected in conjunction with its signature program, Operation School Bell, whereby children in need are provided with school clothing and shoes. This national endeavor is an extension of each of the 120 chapters' daily work to help the less fortunate with nearly 250,000 students receiving support towards improved literacy just last year.
